Case Study
Arbery Road - MDU
Name: Arbery road, London
Units: 327 THP
Delivery type: Abseiling & Roof work
Connection points: 14 FDPs
Network points: 6 Underground nodes
All cabling works were planned using abseiling techniques from the rooftops of each apartment block within the estate. The project covered 327 units across 14 separate buildings. In several locations, additional metal cable tray systems were installed on the roofs to support customer cable routes and ensure safe and efficient access to the necessary abseil points.
The abseiling operations involved working across 3 to 4 storeys to install fibre optic cables directly to the lounge windows of each apartment, ready for future connections. Each apartment block features its own Fibre Distribution Point (FDP), all of which are connected to the Hyperoptic Hyperzone network in the street.
Feed cables were routed through existing BT underground ducts, with new ducting installed by our civils team where required to connect each block to its designated external FDP.
As a result, all 327 residents at Arbery Road now have access to ultra-fast fibre optic broadband via Hyperoptic, ready to support high-speed connectivity and modern digital living.
