All cabling works at Woodstock Court, London were completed using external drop cables installed via catenary wire. The project covered 56 units across two residential buildings.
Each apartment was prepared for future fibre activation with a 5-metre fibre coil routed from the relevant Fibre Distribution Point (FDP) to the lounge window. The drop cables were securely fixed to catenary wires, which were anchored to the building’s brickwork using eyebolts and hooks. All external cable runs were installed in line with British fire safety standards, using a combination of metal and plastic fire-rated cable ties around windows, doors, and designated fire escape routes.
The site is served by two FDPs, both of which are fed from an on-site Optical Line Terminal (OLT) cabinet installed and configured by Fibre-Net Solutions. The OLT system is powered by a Nokia switch, distributing fibre through four 1:16-way splitters mounted on the internal splice tray. All fibre coils were tested using an EXFO OTDR to verify light loss remained within optimal parameters for future customer connections.
As a result, 56 residents at Woodstock Court now have access to ultra-fast fibre optic broadband through the Hyperoptic Fibre to the Home (FTTH) network—bringing high-speed, reliable digital connectivity to every home on site.
